TCM Watch: BORDER INCIDENT (1949)

Tonight on Turner Classic Movies. Director Anthony Mann’s noir/procedural,  has American agent George Murphy team up with Mexican agent Ricardo Montalban to investigate human trafficking at the southern border. But the migrants are not the target. The feds are looking to bust the gangs who exploit them. It’s a bare-knuckles look at a brutal world, with great cinematography by John Alton on a low budget. And it’s interesting to watch this film in the current political climate.
